There are plenty of vacant jobs out there. What are employers doing to fill those spots? Adding incentives to attract employees. And while higher wages may get some new people in the door, certain companies are taking things a step further by offering to pay for college tuition.

Jobs That Pay For A Four-Year Degree

A degree from a four-year school can cost a ton of cash. Get a job with one of these companies, and that expensive tuition may not cost a thing.

Disney

Some employers offer tuition reimbursement, which means you have to front the cash to go to school, and they’ll eventually pay you back. The Disney Aspire program pays schools directly, so you don’t have to worry about upfront funding.

Work for Disney as a full-time or part-time worker in the U.S., and you can get 100 percent of your tuition costs covered. This program applies if you want to get your bachelor’s or master’s degree at the University of Florida or the University of Central Florida. The latter is reserved for Florida residents. Eligibility kicks in after your first 90 days with the company.

As a bonus, Disney will also cover your textbook costs.

Walmart

The largest employer in the U.S. offers college tuition coverage through its Live Better U program. If you work for Walmart or are considering it, this program can help you get a bachelor’s or master’s degree, and it even offers foreign language classes at no cost. Best of all, some Walmart employees can share these benefits with their family members.

As of 2021, over 27,000 Walmart associates were participating in the Live Better U program.

Become one of them, and you could get your degree from the University of Florida, Bellevue University, Wilmington University, Southern New Hampshire University, or a handful of other schools.

Verizon

Imagine getting over $13,000 per year to get your college degree. That could cover all your tuition costs, and it could become your reality if you work full-time for Verizon.

The company’s Best-In-Class Tuition Assistance program offers up to $13,250 annually for full-time employees who attend Bellevue University. And if you work part-time, you can get $4,000 per year. As if that wasn’t enough to entice you to work for Verizon, family members are also covered for up to $2,500 per year in tuition assistance.

Starbucks

The Starbucks College Achievement Plan offers eligible full-time and part-time employees 100 percent tuition coverage for a first-time bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University’s online program. This allows you to work, save on tuition, and get an online degree no matter where you are.
